Ariel Chamberlain: Data Strategy Consultant, Octopus Pond Consultin
Ariel Chamberlain is the founder of Octopus Pond Consulting LLC and serves as Data Strategy Consultant for the Land and Leadership Initiative. At LALI, they handle everything from data cleaning and automation to researching and implementing technical upgrades and data migrations.
Ariel has always been curious about how things connect: ecosystems, communities, ideas, and data. Growing up in a community that valued both environmental stewardship and human connection taught them to see the world as interconnected. This perspective drew them toward work at the intersection of environment, communities, and data, where they could apply technical skills to support organizations working for people and planet.
Over the past decade, Ariel has worked across environmental research, community building, non-profits, climate tech, and education, developing the ability to work across sectors and see connections others might miss. They hold a Bachelor of Environmental Science with a focus on Data Analytics. Their work focuses on data system architecture, process automation, and working with complex data, always approaching data strategy ethically and sustainably by understanding the people, the mission, and the context.
Ariel is active in community leadership with IMMA Collective, an impact-driven entrepreneur community, and they co-lead the Climate Action Tech Assembly as a Facilitator. They also support local and sustainable agriculture, are passionate about soil, plants, fungi, and learning from nature, and enjoy hiking in the Appalachian foothills.
